The campus has learned that despite the fact that Miss Rwanda is virtual, no man will be included in the panel but only the female judges to decide who will be Miss Rwanda 2021.
The simple survey done by the campus has analyzed that since 2009 when the Miss Rwanda was re-introduced after its interruption in 1993 to 2019 there were at least two men on the panel in each year except the year 2021 where there is no man on the bench.
The all-female panel constitutes; Maria Yohanna, a folklore traditional singer, Jolly Mutesi, Miss Rwanda 2016, Social Media personality Jolly Mutes, Radio Journalist and media personality, Michelle Iradukunda, Pamela Mudakikwa, a communications personality, and Emma Claudine, a radio personality and sexual reproductive specialist.
The campus tried to talk to Meghan Nimwiza, Miss Rwanda 2019 and Pageants public relations about the female-dominated panel but she did not comment on the issue.
“The jury commenced auditioning videos submitting all contestants. They will select lucky girls from each province and city of Kigali before the preselection event. Due to COVID-19, this year’s auditions are being held virtually,” The Tweet from the Miss Rwanda handle says.
There have been hot exchanges of words between female contestants and male judges in the previous contests.
