Continuing from where I stopped.
As we were still seated, they asked the driver if we find the university that I wanted to attend but before I could tell them the university I wanted to attend, my mom showed me something, an official adoption paper.
Well, I didn’t give it much credit because I didn’t know what it meant, instead i started talking about the universities that I wanted to enroll. The first choice was KIST, the second ULK but suddenly when I told her about the choices my mom’s face changed.
My father holding my hand, took me to the living room and we sat and he started telling me good words I never thought I could hear from him, calmly he apologized to me for the way I saw him and how he talked to my mom harshly and said that I will know reason to his actions someday.
Again, he said “I have the ability to take you to any university you would want to attend whether in the country or abroad” then I asked him “is there anything wrong with the universities that I chose?” then he laughed, I immediately stood up before I could go, he held my hand and told me “Go talk to your mom about it and whatever you decide on, you’ll let me know”.
I went upstairs and found my mom reading a book in her room, I told her everything my father said to me and she also advised me to go for KIST. She explained to me in few words why I should attend that university.
In a few minutes, my father joined us and I told her the university we had choose and he said that he was okay with it so I should go rest and would get in details the next day.
I went back to my room checked in the box where my laptop came in (those who read ep7 know about it) I found a notebook, I took it and started writing about my life.
I started writing a story I called 24 hours are enough in life I wrote and wrote whatever that just happened to me, I fell asleep.
Lesson---Dear friends if there is a child that you take care of and she/he isn’t yours, love them regardless you don’t know what she/he will become in the future and you’ll receive your blessings.
In the morning I woke up finding myself alone in the house my parents had gone for work well there were two maids and the gatekeepers but they didn’t seem to want to talk to me so I thought why I was here. I took my already served breakfast and started using my new laptop went on internet and started browsing.
I got enrolled at the former KIST, coming from Nyarutarama village I knew I was coming from a wealthy family because they even gave me a car and driver that would drive me to and from school.
The first week I had started making new friends at school like everyone else who joins university.
The following week I had started becoming good friends with my driver we started talking as usual then we got close he would ask me personal random questions as he drove me to school. On the Thursday of the second week, he told me words that made my heart skip.
He said, “young girl I don’t really know you that much because I am just a driver here but do you know……..”
To be continued…
