Martin Masabo, the former head master for Lycee de Kigali for about 20 years has been recognized as the Education Lifetime award winner of the year by this portal the Campus media.
Martin masabo was the principal of Lycee de Kigali from 2000 until his death in 2021.
According to Thomas Mwesigye, the managing director of the Campus meadia Ltd said Masabo's nomination and recognition is a result of his many achievements and merits towards Rwanda Education in the past 20 years.
"We awarded Martin Masabo this award because he has been a teacher for long with role accomplishments that has benefited much of Rwanda's education sectors."
Patience Dukesimana, a student and one of the organiser of the Campus award coordinator said Masabo is an outstanding educationist who have played a significant role in the development of education.
"He deserved it" Dukeshimana added.
His nomination was trailed from the eulogise of his students that went viral on social media.
The 64-year old was among the nominees who passed the online voting selection.
Lycée de Kigali principal Martin Masabo died from Covid-19-related complications at King Faisal Hospital, Kigali where he had been admitted for days.
He left three children and a wife.
