The Raptors were unrecognizable this Sunday against the Celtics. The Canadian franchise ran behind the score throughout the game, hence the 17-point gap for the Celtics (59-42) at the break. The Raptors will not return to the game and the Celtics win Game 1 (112-94).
Marcus Smart (21 pts, 6 rebounds, 4 assists) and Jason Tatum (21 pts, 9 rebounds, 2 assists) were the architects of Boston's victory. On the Toronto side, Cameroonian Pascal Siakam (13 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assists), Nigerian Ogugua Anunoby (12 pts, 7 rebounds) and Spaniard of Congolese origin Serge Ibaka (15 pts; 9 rebounds, 1 assist) were limited. The Raptors will be keen to revive in Game 2, scheduled for Tuesday.
