In the ongoing 2021 African Volleyball Championship in Rwanda at Kigali Arena, Rwanda Women Volleyball National Team made history by qualifying to the Semi-finals of the tournament for this first time.
The team reached this level by overwhelmingly winning over Nigeria 3 straight sets out of 0, though in a very tough game with very small margins.
