Rwanda’s Basket Ball club BBC patriot beats River Hoopers 83-60 in the opening game of the inaugural Basketball Africa League yesterday on Sunday. The game was dominated by the Nigerian side at the start but at the end, the Rwandan side counter-attacked with a comeback in the second quarter with 30-18 to 50-36 points.
The game was ended on a high note as Rwanda Patriots take victory over Nigerian Hoopers with 80-63.
Reacting to the game, Patriots head coach Allan Major lauded the win as the result of the team spirit that players engaged with each other.
“The players were unselfish that was probably the most enjoyable thing to watch as the team members looked for each other. I know at halftime we had 10 assists on 14 baskets,” he said.
