The NewTimes, sports journalist Peter Kamasa has been elected the new volleyball coach for the East African University Rwanda.

He has brought senior management and sports leadership skills to train amateur volleyball players at the EAUR and his incoming is expected to bring changes to the university's team.

The signing of the coaching agreement is timely at the moment when the University’s team is gearing up for tough tournaments ahead next year.

Kamasa’s skills in sports leadership date back to 2019 when he was starting to train teams of institutions like REG VC, RRA WVC, RwandaAir, Kirehe Volleyball Club, ESSA Nyarugunga and UTB among others.

Kamasa is not an amateur in sports, his experience goes down to two decades. He has played for high school volleyball teams such as Gahini Secondary School, Universite Libre de Kigali (ULK), and Groupe Scolaire de Butare.
