The University of Kigali has started enrolling students who want to study at the campus for the year 2022.
On December 3, 2021, the University held graduation for students who have completed their studies at the University of Kigali at various levels including the Undergraduate and Postgraduate in Education.
It was a big graduation event held for the first time since the University opened in 2013.
The state-of-the-art Campus has three centers and two research rooms. Courses taught here include Technology, Business and Economics, Law, Education and Languages.
The University of Kigali has a staff of experts including nine Professors, and 32 professors with doctorates in various disciplines and experience.
It has partnerships with various international universities and countries where they exchange students or transfer lecturers.
These countries include Kenya, Uganda, India, South Africa, Germany, Italy, Canada, the United Kingdom, Poland, Ghana only through the European Union this University often works closely with those in Kenya, and Germany.
In addition to Rwandan students, Kigali University welcomes foreigners. It has students from Angola, Nigeria, Gabon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Malawi, China, Turkey, Burundi, India, Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries.
Students who graduated last year say they have gained unparalleled knowledge, according to Grace Ntihemuka, an Alumni.
"I am just happy to have tapped such wonderful knowledge,” she says.
Evariste Manishimwe a Masters' graduate, said: "I started in 2019, unfortunately, that year was followed by Covid-19, but the University has helped us a lot today and we are celebrating the victory even though the pandemic is still there."
He went on to say that the University of Kigali was his choice as he sought to increase his knowledge by inspiring those wishing to study at the University.
“Doors are now open for those wishing to start classes in January, May and October 2022,” he said.
